Mr. Abdiwali Ali Hassan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Cancer Research Somalia (ICRS), established to advance cancer research, strengthen prevention and early detection, build capacity, and contribute to a more resilient and equitable cancer-care system in Somalia.

As the founding leader of ICRS, he is committed to positioning cancer research and cancer control at the center of Somalia’s public-health and scientific-development agenda. His leadership is grounded in evidence, innovation, prevention, early detection, and strategic collaboration.
